1. One Fab Day couple Robyn and Max opted for alternative, and absolutely adorable, bridal party roles. They didn’t just have flower girls — they had their grandmas take on the role, with a grandpa as their ring bearer too!
2. How utterly gorgeous is this intergenerational kiss from Alex & Marley‘s celebration? What a wonderful way to pay tribute to all the love through the ages that led to your special day.
3. Louise‘s grandmother was her Matron of Honour, isn’t that just the sweetest idea? The bride is a wedding florist and her gran’s beautiful dress matched perfectly with her bouquet that was bursting with jewel and pastel tones.
4. For bride Orlagh it was so special to have her grandmother join her at her part-one wedding in Dublin. Her grandmother was clearly over the moon to celebrate with them and we adore this moment between them.
5. Helena and P. J. poured their hearts into personalising their non-religious ceremony and it was officiated by someone very special – his gran!
6. A beautiful moment from Libhín & Donagh‘s wedding saw her grandmother kissing the ring that was once hers and also her great grandmother’s. It is a family heirloom that is now over 100 years old that will continue to be passed on.

There’s something undeniably romantic about walking down the aisle in a gown with history which is exactly what Allie from Massachusetts did as she wore her grandmother’s heirloom wedding dress from 60 years before. The happy tears were flowing when her dear gran saw her wearing it on her wedding morning.

11. It was a top priority of Emma and Fionán to ensure his grandmother Maureen could be present at their Christmas wedding and she played a very special role in their celebration. She presented the couple with their coins to exchange during their ceremony and there was also a spot saved for her on the dancefloor later on!
12. Alice and James were overjoyed when both their grandmothers, aged in their late 80’s, were able to make the journey for their wedding in Queenstown, Australia. It was James’ grandmother’s first plane ride for over five years and we can only imagine the excited chats they were having as they took their seats before the ceremony.
