Pantone Colour of the Year

So you may have heard by now that Pantone announced “Cloud Dancer” a “billowy, balanced white” as their colour of 2026. It is the first time Pantone has chosen white since it began naming a colour of the year in 1999, and while a white-toned Colour of the Year might seem predictable for weddings at first glance, white has evolved far beyond tradition. In recent years, all-white weddings have become a bold design choice, making Cloud Dancer a natural fit. From flowers and cake, to stationery and bridesmaid dresses, there’s no end to the potential Cloud Dancer wedding inclusions for 2026 and 2027 celebrations. Read on here to see if this quietly sophisticated and minimalist hue is the one for you.

Wedding Cloaks, Lace and Veil Drama

In a similar old glamour vein, who caught Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty’s stunning Bath cathedral wedding over Christmas? The drama around it was unreal, but star of the show was Holly’s gown which has now been revealed as a jaw-dropping princess-like Elie Saab lace dress. One of the talking points is still the full length cloak which Holly wore over the gown, no doubt to add warmth on a December day but also for added drama, and to hide the dress from the press. We love the idea of adding a little unpredictable ‘extra’ to your look. Click here for vintage gowns, fashion forward veils ideas and also how to pick a veil for every length.

New Opening: Dion Dublin

Dublin’s newest restaurant and bar, Dion (meaning roof in Irish) officially opened its doors in December. The iconic 1970s Sam Stephenson designed building is located nine floors high, at the top of the former Central Bank building on Dame Street. Offering 360-degree city views and contemporary Irish cuisine using local ingredients, as well as a vibrant atmosphere, step in for a celebratory cocktail (or two) – you’ll find a cocktail menu, inspired by the landscape, which includes The Wandering Rocks and The Irish Goodbye. Galgorm Resort Expands its Spa Offering

Thinking of a spa destination for your hen? Direct all further enquiries to the recent glow up at the Galgorm Resort in Antrim, which has just opened the first phase of its Forest Garden Spa, as part of a larger £40m expansion. Featuring woodland hot tubs, waterbed cabanas and sauna, this new addition connects to the existing Thermal Spa Village via a scenic bridge over the River Maine. The new area will be open to all day spa and overnight guests, and sounds just the spot for a luxury girls weekend. Want more zen hen ideas? The Opera Aesthetic

Another recently tipped 2026 trend is the ‘Opera Aesthetic’, which is on Pinterest’s list of things to what to watch in weddings this year. Think lavish, theatrical celebrations that feel like stepping into a grand opera house, where every detail exudes glamour and extravagance. You can dial up the drama with drapery, dark red flowers, string quartets, black-tie dress codes, gloves, gilded stationery, and champagne towers. Here, we’ve rounded up seven stunning theatre venues in Ireland to hire for weddings.
