Katie and Peter‘s classic yet modern wedding was full to the brim with swoon-worthy details! Set in the stunning seaside setting of Dunmore House Hotel, their Wild Atlantic Way wedding was an ode to timeless romance. Their summer celebration in picturesque West Cork boasted the prettiest palette of soft blues, peaches and pinks which coloured everything from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the wedding cake.
The style was a love letter to timeless elegance with glowing bride Katie delighting in a Chosen by Kyha wedding dress (with her accessories including sparkling heels that Cinderella would swoon over) and effortlessly slick groomswear courtesy of Louis Copeland & Sons. Uber-pretty stationery, midsummer garden-like blooms, a reception oozing refined romance with uninterrupted coastal views, anda jaw-dropping Lambeth wedding cake, it is a privilege for us to showcase all the beauty. With elegant and timeless photography from Magda Lukas, let’s dive into their dreamy day!

Katie is from Cork and Peter is from Tipperary and today they live in Nenagh, Tipperary. 150 of their loved ones joined them for their wedding in

The couple drew inspiration from the pretty-as-a-picture seaside surroundings of West Cork to curate their wedding aesthetic. “And the summer sunshine which we were hopeful would make an appearance on the day. Luckily, it did!”

Katie was the epitome of effortless elegance wearing an A-line wedding dress by Chosen by Kyha which she accessorised with a beautiful veil from The Next Chapter, jewellery from Boodles, and crystal-encrusted Jimmy Choo shoes.

Peter was the definition of dashing wearing a tux from Louis Copeland & Sons with shoes from Santoni sourced at Brown Thomas and cufflinks from Keanes Jewellers.

The stationery exuded delicate whimsy with prints including delicate florals, sweet handwritten details and sweet stripes. Bursts of ‘something blue’ featured aplenty and the ceremony booklets sported absolutely darling fray-edged ribbons.

“Having our family and friends from all over the world with us to celebrate made for a truly memorable occasion,” the bride reminisces. A real highlight of the ceremony was having Peter’s relative and namesake Fr Peter O’Connor as their priest. “He was so welcoming and instantly put us at ease,” she says.

That ‘Just Married’ feeling.

The newlyweds and their loved ones basked in the sunshine as they mingled outside the church and they tucked into scrumptious 99s.

They wanted an elegant and joyful feel from the florals and Howe Hill Flowers curated the breathtaking arrangements. “We worked closely with our wonderful and extremely talented florist Flicky to create a mid-summer’s garden party feel through our florals and tablescapes.”

Their wedding car was a 1963 Jaguar MK2 from Cork Wedding Cars in a rich burgundy hue. Just so elegant.

Katie’s leading ladies wore soft blue cowl back gowns by Maids to Measure which also boasted pretty flutter sleeves and they wore jewellery from One Dame Lane.

Peter’s groomsmen were effortlessly suave in black tuxes from Louis Copeland & Sons.

Katie’s radiant makeup look was created by Sarah Cummins and Audrey Cashman of UpStyle Junkie was behind her elegant half up half down hairstyle with gentle waves.

They always knew they wanted to tie the knot in the West Cork and finding the perfect venue was their top priority. The classically elegant and luxurious Dunmore House Hotel was ‘the one’ for them. “Dunmore House is a special place overlooking Clonakilty Bay run by the Barrett family-Carol, Richard and Peter who are dear friends of ours alongside their incredible team.”

Refined romance personified… The reception styling included meadow-like floral arrangements of blooms displayed on tall brass stands, neutral candles in glass holders, and menus boasting gorgeous hand-drawn illustrations of a candlelit dinner setting.

Katie and Peter’s Lambeth wedding cake by Quigleys Bakery dappled with delicate pearls and light blue sugar flowers wowed their guests.

The food was also a really important element for the couple and they knew they were in trusted hands as they had enjoyed many visits to the hotel through the years. “Everything is sourced locally, and the fresh produce is grown onsite in the hotel’s Ocean Garden. Every single detail is done to perfection.”

Their wedding favours were delicious macarons from Quigleys Bakery.

The Havana Club Trio and Spring Break provided the perfect energy and soundtrack to their reception, it was one truly unforgettable party.

Congratulations to Katie and Peter! Thank you to our wonderful couple for allowing us to take a peek inside their stunning seaside celebration and to Magda Lukas for sharing the utterly gorgeous imagery.
