A breathtaking ode to modern romance, it does not get dreamier than today’s real wedding. Elizabeth and Cillian are based in Florida but distance did not get in the way of them bringing their dream day to life in all its splendid glory. They chose the idyllic Cliff At Lyons in Co. Kildare for their summer celebration and they made memories to cherish forever as they celebrated with 100 of their nearest and dearest. Paul McGinty Photography captured their sensational summer celebration in all its beauty from the prettiest pastel wildflowers blooming through the styling to ‘something blue’ bridal party style and a refined cake with a twist of romance. Enjoy!

Cillian is from Wexford and Elizabeth is from the US and their love story is so sweet. They met on a dating app about a week after they moved to the same city and they have been pretty much inseparable from their first date!

Cillian popped the question over Christmas in 2023 while they were on holiday in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains with Elizabeth’s family. “It was so fun to celebrate with everyone while we were there,” she reflects.

The couple wanted to be very present during their celebration so they could spend as much time as possible with all their favourite people. “We wanted to keep the vibe relaxed and fun so everyone could enjoy themselves,” they add.

We are in awe of Elizabeth’s breathtaking bridal look, her floral applique gown from The Collection Bridal was worthy of a modern fairytale celebration.

Their florals which exuded gentle whimsy were curated by Frog Prince Weddings. “They created the most beautiful space for our ceremony and reception filled with candles and wildflower arrangements,” the reminisce.

Their destination wedding was planned by Daragh Doyle and the aesthetic was soft, romantic and summery. We were absolutely blown away by the style!

From the bouquets with beautiful movement to the meadow-like arrangements that bloomed along the aisle, the flowers were so romantic and swoon-worthy.

Having their baby daughter Clodagh join them made it so much more magical. “I found her a matching dress to my wedding gown and she got ready with all the girls. She was also Cillian’s ‘escort’ down the aisle during the ceremony. We love having those memories and photos with her.”

So sweetly, Elizabeth’s bridesmaids and flower girls were her ‘something blue’. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful mix and matched blue dresses from Bella Bridesmaids opting for floaty chiffon gowns in tonal blue shades and prints.

How enchanting was their reception styling? Wildflowers drove the decor and dainty illustrations of the whimsical blooms flourished across the menus.

Their white wedding cake by Miller Cake Studio was immensely sleek and it was given an ethereal twist as it was adorned with gorgeous blooms.

Tracy Gallagher provided the dreamy soundtrack to their ceremony and reception.

100 of their nearest and dearest joined them for their July celebration which was full of unforgettable moments.

As they were planning their wedding from Florida, they were not able able to tour any venues in person. That did not stop them from finding the venue of their dreams. “My sister-in-law recommended Cliff At Lyons as something we might like, so we set up a FaceTime tour with their event coordinator. As soon as we saw the space on that call, we instantly loved it and thought it looked like ‘us’.”

Don’t sweat the small stuff is their top piece of wedding planning advice. “It’s a big event with a lot of moving parts, so there will inevitably be things that don’t go to plan. Everything will turn out amazing, though, and the day will be so much fun. Try your best to stay present and soak up all the memories.”

They also highly recommend that couples take a few minutes after the ceremony for themselves. “For most of the day, you’re talking and catching up with friends and family, so it’s really nice to have a moment together just the two of you.”

They were overjoyed to have photographer Paul McGinty capturing all their magical wedding moments. “From the moment he arrived, he brought such a calm, friendly energy that helped us feel totally at ease. Even just from the sneak peek, we’re blown away by how beautiful the pictures turned out and love the sweet, candid shots he got as well. Paul went above and beyond even before the big day. He met with us over Zoom ahead of time to walk through the process and timeline, which really helped us feel prepared. We also loved the ‘beloved’ questionnaire he sent. Hearing each other’s answers during the day led to some of our favorite moments, and Paul captured them so perfectly. We also had a big wedding party, and he kept everything moving throughout the day without ever making it feel rushed. Can’t wait to see the full gallery. Highly, highly recommend!”

Their honeymoon is still to be determined but we’ve no doubt the wait will be worth it!

Congratulations Elizabeth and Cillian! We want to say a huge thank you to our fabulous couple for sharing their captivatingly chic Cliff At Lyons celebration with One Fab Day and to Paul McGinty Photography who captured all the magic so beautifully.
