This real wedding is the epitome of relaxed romance. On a sunshine-kissed Sunday in July, Emily and Darragh said ‘I do’ surrounded by the people they love the most in the world. Their Irish-Chinese fusion wedding was elegant, fun and featured fairytale florals and breathtaking black-tie style (including a very dapper dog!). On top of that you can add in an uber-pretty pastel palette with pops of pink at the fore, a dreamy garden ceremony and glamorous accents aplenty including neon signage and a champagne tower Gatsby would swoon over. If you’re seeking stunning summer wedding inspiration, you’ve come to the perfect place as the beautiful images by Wonder & Magic prove.

Before we get to the magic, let’s find out all about how our fabulous couple’s happily ever after began. Emily is from China and Darragh is from Dublin and they met on Tinder.

April 15th, 2022, is a date the couple will always cherish. It was a day soaked in sunlight and Darragh popped the question while they were at Reenagross Woodland Park in Kenmare. “We were staying at the Park Hotel Kenmare and we went for a stroll and stopped at a location called the Lovers Point and Darragh proposed.”

We absolutely adore the bridal party pjs, from Emily’s pretty pleats to her ladies in floral satin.

For Emily and Darragh, the most important element of their celebration was having an incredible time with all their family and friends.

Emily and Darragh exchanged vows in breathtaking style with a garden ceremony outside the 18th century chapel. With a meadow-like floral display, bursts of beautiful blooms including peonies and larkspurs were dotted by chairs. The aisle was also lined with pillar candles in glass cylinders, only adding to the air of relaxed romance.

Emily’s swoon-inducing array of bridal accessories included glittering Jimmy Choos and statement pearl drop earrings by Completedworks.

Black-tie brilliance! Darragh and his groomsmen looked phenomenal in sharp black tuxes. The groom sourced his timeless suit at Louis Copeland & Sons.

Emily’s family dog Cody was also suited in his best wedding finery. The adorable pooch was firmly in the spotlight on the day.

The happiest tears flowed during the bride’s sweet first look.

What dreams are made of! Emily sparkled with every step in her embellished Pronovias gown with floral embroidery and beading. Her radiant makeup, complete with a dazzling cat eyeliner look, was complemented with picture-perfect waves and a romantic cathedral veil.

The colour palette comprised of summer shades, pastel pinks and whites. Emily’s beautiful bouquet which included flowing orchids and stock perfectly encapsulated this.

Here comes the bride!

Singer and guitarist Tracy Gallagher delivered the note-perfect soundtrack to their unforgettable ceremony.

When it came to wedding venue hunting, the couple dreamt of tying the knot at a manor house and they got everything they hoped for and more at Borris House. “It’s got a Downton Abbey vibe, we both wanted somewhere exclusive and the ballroom is beautiful.”

Emily’s bridesmaids looked sensational in pink bardot neckline tulle gowns by TH&TH with gorgeous sunburst pleated bodices.

After poring over the delightful details from their special day, of course we were going to ask for Emily’s top piece of wedding planning advice. She says, “Set a budget, know your priorities. Don’t stress and try to enjoy the process of planning”

The couple sourced their dream wedding bands at Voltaire Diamonds.

The bride designed the exquisite stationery herself with the table plan cards and menus boasting cute tassels and delicate floral illustrations.

Borris House oozes regency grandeur and it provided the perfect fairytale setting for their celebrations.

Their name in lights! Emily and Darragh added an extra dash of style to their reception space with neon signage.

The couple wanted to throw an unforgettable party for their loved ones and who better to fill the floor than the high-energy party band The Mixtape! They chose the iconic song L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole as their first dance song.

The newlyweds headed to Croatia for their honeymoon and they would highly recommend it.
