The style was spellbinding from Victoria’s Chosen by Khya gown and gasp-worthy floral veil to her bridesmaids in lemon yellow gowns, while the suiting personified elegance which included a white-tie look from the dapper groom. Couple that with classic white flowers, a refined ballroom reception, wonderful entertainment, and a beautiful bow wedding cake and you have yourself a sparkling and unforgettable celebration. Paul McGinty Photography captured the magic beautifully and it is bursting to the brim with inspiration!

While first met on a Christmas night out in the Ferryman Pub with work in 2017 Victoria and Alan they didn’t have their first official date until May in Enniskerry. Victoria tells us, “We never would have thought we’d be celebrating our wedding there seven years later!”

Their proposal was so perfect for them. “We were in town for the day and Alan had booked us lunch in The Merrion. After lunch Alan brought me up to a suite and our dog Polly was sitting in the suite with a bandana that said, ‘Will you marry my dad’. We are obsessed with our dog so this couldn’t have been more perfect for us. After this, Alan had organised that our friends and family were waiting in the pub to celebrate with us!”

For Victoria and Alan the most important thing for them on their big day was seeing all of their favourite people having fun together. They wanted to throw an unforgettable party with great music, scrumptious food, a packed dancefloor and lots of drinks.

Victoria exuded effortless elegance wearing a structured Chosen by Kyha gown with a draped, scooped neck corset and a fit and flare skirt. She accessorised with glittering Jimmy Choo heels, a 3D floral veil, and earrings from One Dame Lane. She carried a classic bouquet of roses tied with a silk ribbon to complete the breathtaking bridal look.

Their bridal party included their niece Lily who was their flower girl) who had travelled all the way from Perth for their celebration and their adored pooch Polly.

She reflects on what made Powerscourt Hotel ‘the one’. “We had our first date at Powerscourt Waterfall and then went in to Enniskerry for  a drink. Our first hotel stay a few months later was in Powerscourt hotel and we have stayed there several times since. We knew we wanted our wedding to be somewhere we loved with a nice view so Powerscourt was a obvious choice for us! We went to view it a few weeks after getting engaged and never viewed anywhere else! We love that our venue is so close to us so we plan to have many more happy memories there!”

Her bridesmaids were rays of sunshine in satin lemon yellow bridesmaids dresses with cowl and asymmetric necklines.

With crisp white tablecloths, silver candlebras wrapped with lush foliage and minimalistic signage, their reception in the grand ballroom was the definition of refined romance.

Their sophisticated cake by The Fox and the Flour was adorned with a luxurious bow. Swoon!

Victoria and Alan could not recommend photographer Paul McGinty enough. “From the minute we had our first consultation with Paul we knew we were in great hands. He was so organized with prep calls in advance and he brought a great atmosphere to our wedding day which made our photos turn out so authentically!”

“Reflecting on their dream day, the bride says, “It was the  best day of our lives. To us, the day felt effortless and any small stresses we had coming up to the day didn’t even cross our minds! We would love to do it all over again!

Alan’s white tie wedding day look from Louis Copeland & Sons was timeless with a hint of Gatsby flair.

Their summer celebration included an epic reception entrance from Sax Appeal, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric!

Happy tears flowed and endless laughter rang through the ballroom during the speeches.

The most stylish start to forever!

Smash Hits ensured the dancefloor was thriving until the early hours.

Her top wedding planning tip is, “Try to enjoy the process and time leading up to the wedding, everything will work out and you will have the best day! Try get back to your room after the ceremony to slip away as a couple and be sure to spend plenty of time together on the night!”

The couple spent a gorgeous 11 days in Greece on their mini-moon. “We went straight after the wedding and plan to do a bigger honeymoon at some point next year!”
