A Breathtaking Regency-Style Gloster House Wedding

On a softly sunny day in July, Brooklynne and Eoghan said yes to forever together. They no doubt felt like royalty during their magical wedding weekend at the incredibly breathtaking Gloster House in Co. Offaly, a magnificent Georgian home at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Their romantic, regency-style celebration featured a majestic and minimalist bridal look with ethereal accessories, pretty pale pastels, luxe accents, fairytale florals, sublime signage, plenty of Irish details interspersed, and even adorable nods to their two favourite felines. Keep reading and see how Peter Carvill captured their breathtaking summer wedding.

Brooklynne and Eoghan are from opposite sides of the Atlantic but their forever was written in the stars. Eoghan is from Meath while US beauty Brooklynne is from Michigan.

Their love story began in Chicago. They met when they were sailing on Lake Michigan, and they hit it off immediately. Brooklynne explains, “It was summertime and we were both separately invited on a sail boat. We arranged to meet up again soon after.” Today they live in New York.

Eoghan chose a spellbinding spot to propose, Dunquin Pier on the Dingle Peninsula. “It was beautiful, despite the typical summer rain and wind,” Brooklynne reminisces fondly.

Eoghan and his groomsmen exuded timeless elegance in their classic black tuxes. The stylish groom leapt at the chance to embrace one of the hottest groomswear accessories trends – going sockless!

The bride had the sweetest first look with her leading ladies. How cute are their striped bridal party pjs?

The couple exchanged vows in a fairytale garden ceremony in front of the luxury country house which included a phenomenal ceremony arch crafted from roses and hydrangeas.

The celebrations kicked off the night before with a bash at Lukers of Shannonbridge which included trad music, Irish dancers and fireworks.

Brooklynne’s bridal look left us breathless as she wore an opulent and minimalist wedding dress by Kyha Studios crafted from duchess satin with a structured, scoop neck bodice and a full skirt. Her accessories included sheer fingerless gloves and pearl drop earrings.

They describe their theme as romantic and regency with a dash of colour and the beautiful combination was drawn through every facet of their happiest day.

Brooklynne’s bridesmaids looked nothing short of sensational in satin sage green gowns by Revelry which married perfectly with the gentle pastel colour palette.

“Being able to get married in the country that my husband grew up in was something very special to me,” Brooklynne highlights. “Eoghan has a fondness for his country, so being able to share our love with all our favourite people in one of the most beautiful countries in the world is something that many people don’t get do in their lifetime.”

Brooklynne and Eoghan ended their ceremony on a high as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife to Dreams by The Cranberries.

The couple fell head over heels for their Georgian country house wedding venue. “Gloster House is gorgeous and the staff are fabulous. If we had to pick our top reason for picked it, it would be the exclusivity of the venue. We had the place to ourselves from Thursday to Sunday, which is hard to get at most other venues, which either are (partially) open to the public and other guests, or do multiple weddings in a given week.”

The newlyweds did a picture-perfect champagne tower pour!

Their wedding day aesthetic was inspired by rose gardens, the bride shares. “I found beauty in all the different types of gardens in Ireland. I wanted our guests to feel like they were entering a rose garden filled with romance and magic.”

The signage included a focus on elegant cursive fonts and cute one-liners.

They wanted to incorporate many nods to Ireland throughout their celebration, which included Irish dancers, Irish readings during the ceremony and a Guinness tab.

Fabric signage is one of the hottest wedding trends right now and Brooklynne and Eoghan’s seating plan aced the look.

Their reception was a lush affair with meadow-like floral arrangements and pops of sage green included in the taper candles and napkins.

The table signage and menus included frayed edges adding to the sense of undeniable romanticism.

They repurposed their ceremony arch to create a breathtaking backdrop to their sweetheart table.

We adore Brooklynne’s Irish text embroidered veil which translates to “You are my love”.

Their white wedding cake included ethereal sculptural accents.

We absolutely adore their personalised matchsticks boxes!

The couple also paid tribute to their cats Bubbie and Lola with personalised napkins and huge signs of their faces which they proudly pulled out on the dancefloor.

Brooklynne and Eoghan enjoyed their first dance to Green Eyes by Coldplay.

Brooklynne’s top wedding planning tip is to get the big items done early. “Try to have everything done about one to two weeks ahead of the day – you won’t be successful, but it’ll put you in a good place to enjoy the lead up to the wedding day.”

Brooklynne wowed everyone with a second dazzling bridal look, a fabulous short wedding dress with an embellished top and flared skirt.

The couple chose Cefalu in Sicily as their mini-moon location. “It was fantastic. A perfect place to relax and unwind together after the planning and partying.”

A very special thank you to Brooklynne, Eoghan and Peter Carvill for sharing today’s absolutely magical Gloster House wedding. Be sure to check out the gallery for even more images from their wedding weekend including their pre-wedding and day after celebrations.
