A Flower-Filled Black-Tie Garden Wedding in Italy

Today’s destination wedding brings us to the enchanting terrains of Tuscany in Italy. US real wedding couple Taylor and David tied the knot at Villa Corsini which lies on Florence’s doorstep. It was the dreamiest location for their black-tie celebration which was dusted with baby’s breath and roses. The couple are from Florida and they were joined by 90 of their nearest and dearest for their spring wedding which featured wonderfully elegant bridal style, an epic first look photo, a flower-filled outdoor ceremony with vineyard and olive grove views, a refined reception featuring pops of pale pink and the most romantic sweetheart table, a champagne tower, an imposing tiered cream wedding cake, and a dazzling fireworks display. Punti di Bianco was behind the camera capturing every second of magic. Enjoy!

Before we find out all about their sensationally stylish special day, the couple fills us in on their dreamy proposal, “While on a hiking trip through Wyoming and Montana, David proposed to Taylor at Glacier National Park in Montana. We got engaged at Lake McDonald on November 7th, 2021. It was a complete surprise and It also began snowing!”

When it came to their big day, Taylor and David dreamed of an outdoor dinner party that was intimate and brought together their closest family and friends. “We also wanted a classic feel to the ceremony and reception that felt timeless. In addition to the timeless feel, Taylor wanted the reception illuminated with chandeliers and string lights.”

The couple fell in love with the history-steeped Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte instantly. “Its charm, nestled in the lush green hills and olive groves of Tuscany, created the perfect ambiance for our wedding. It was simply the ideal location for our special day.”

The couple tied the knot in an awe-inspiring outdoor ceremony on the main lawn by the lily pond which took in the scenic surrounds of the olive groves, vineyards and the Tuscan hills. Taylor’s vision for the flowers was simple white flowers with greenery such as eucalyptus. The breathtaking floral presentation, which included a stunning floral ceremony arch, featured baby’s breath, peonies and roses.

Taylor looked phenomenally elegant in a Paloma Blanca gown which had a rushed bodice and a flowing skirt and she accessorised with a pearl-dappled veil, pearl drop earrings and heels with pearly accents.

Bride and groom first look during black-tie garden wedding

Debonair groom David opted for a timeless black tuxedo. The couple’s first look photo absolutely melted our hearts. What a spine-tingling location to choose for the unforgettable moment.

The couple opted for minimal decorations as they wanted their guests to experience every ounce of magic when it came to their venue. While flowers drove the aesthetic outside, indoors candles lit the hallways for guests and created a truly romantic atmosphere.

A four-string quartet served up the electrifying soundtrack to their ceremony with songs from Coldplay, Elvis Presley, Elton John, Adele, Natalie Cole, Abba, Taylor Swift, and Avicii. “The songs we selected were some of our favourites. Each song also had a sentimental tie to each of our parents and our grandparents.”

Her bridesmaids were a vision of romance in mauve gowns with mix and match necklines. All the bridesmaids carried small bouquets while the groomsmen wore simple boutonnieres.

The couple’s wedding car? A vintage cream Bentley which exuded seriously luxurious vibes.

The celebrations kicked off with a cocktail hour in the English garden. How chic! “We could not believe the spread of delicious food and tasteful music. The signature drink we chose, ‘The Hugo’, remains one of the best we’ve ever had. Our guests still talk about it to this day.”

The reception was held outdoors with long tables styled with white tablecloths, floral table runners, tall candles in glass holders, and pale pink napkins.

Reflecting on seeing their reception space styled in all its glory, they say, “We were stunned when we saw the reception set up after leaving the aperitivo. It was better than we ever imagined! Our florist was able to strategically place flowers and decorations around the reception area. We also got to repurpose the circular arch we used from our ceremony for our cake cutting and fireworks display.”

We absolutely adore the sweetheart table trend, it’s such a wonderful way for couples to spend time together and soak up the magic of their day. The set up of their main table was so swoon inducing, with baby’s breath and roses peppering the grass in front and chandeliers overhead which twinkled endlessly in the sunlight.

“My favourite moment was David and I walking into our reception together,” Taylor reminisces. “The sun was setting, the weather was cool, and we could see our guests seated under the string lights with our favourite music playing. It’s a perfect memory.”

Is there a more glamorous way to toast to your happily ever after than with a champagne tower?

Their tiered wedding cake which boasted sophisticated yet ethereal ruffled accents made our jaws dropped.

Reflecting on their special day, David says, “We were both blown away by the fireworks display. What we thought would be a quick display, turned into a truly professional, breathtaking show that left us all in awe. We had so much fun then dancing the night away with our friends and family. Our wedding at Villa Corsini is something that we will never forget, and we feel so fortunate to have been hosted there.”

Taylor adds, “I look back fondly seeing friends and family together in such a special place. It was amazing to share the experience with our loved ones in a beautiful country. I also had the best time dancing with friends and family under the string lights! I will cherish this experience forever and am so thankful so many people were with us to celebrate David and I’s marriage.”
