Daniel is from Dunboyne and Jasmynn is from Texas and they met at a baseball game in San Francisco in the summer of 2016. They tell us, “It was a mutual friend’s birthday and Daniel spotted Jasmynn and went over to say hi at the end of the game. As soon as she had said hi back she was saying bye and got in an Uber to head home. Chance gone. Daniel then spotted Jasmynn on another friend’s social media a week later. He happened to be a few beers deep at the time and with liquid courage asked if the friend would introduce them. The friend obliged and set them up on a blind date that only Daniel was initially aware of, Jasmynn who thought she was out for girls drinks was only told two mins before Daniel arrived at the bar. We were inseparable from then on!”

Daniel picked a stunning and sentimental spot to propose. He popped the question at Land’s End in San Francisco where they had their very first real date. “It is a beautiful setting on the edge of the Pacific Ocean with the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. He showed Jasmynn first a video call between himself, Jasmynn’s mom and Jasmyn’s grandma. It was very important to Jasmynn that Daniel got the approval / blessing from Jasmynn’s grandma before proposing.”

Their top priority for their celebration was to represent their cultures. “Deciding to have the wedding in Ireland was a big commitment to one culture so we wanted to try balance it.”

Absolutely enchanting! Jasmynn’s ethereal tulle gown with glittering pearl detailing at the back is from Daalarna and she accessorised with pearl jewellery Anthropologie and an iconic pair of bridal shoes, the Camellia plise bow heels by Loeffler Randall in soft blue.

They were blessed with absolutely incredible weather on the day which allowed them hold the ceremony outside on the folley.

She sheds more light on how they curated the aesthetic for their dream day, “Daniel and I both love nature and the brilliance of natural beauty. Mount Druid is such a good mix of both the natural beauty of Ireland with also a special and unique taste and style. I just wanted to add more earth and florals to the venue to have it perfectly match my aesthetic and vision. Mount Druid is already so full of life and decor you don’t need much to have a beautiful wedding.”

“It was amazing for my mom and immediately family to see our culture alive in the middle of Ireland,” Jasmynn shares. “It was so special to see my immigrant mother in a country she probably never ever thought she’d visit or ever even think of visiting. And adding those touches to make us and her feel at home amongst such a rich Irish culture (which isn’t so different from our Mexican culture) was really special not just for us but also for all the Irish side as well. And we are so thankful to be so welcomed and have our culture so appreciated by the Irish side as well.”

They chose ceremony readings from their favourite books, On The Road and The Alchemist. “Jasmynn’s mom read a beautiful reading in spanish during the ceremony which was a really lovely moment that sticks out,” Daniel reflects.

Jasmynn and Daniel absolutely adored the unique personality of Mount Druid. “Jasmynn always wanted a garden or green house wedding. But the ones we had previously been to felt a little too buttoned up. We’re a very casual and natural couple we like to go with the flow and feel more at ease in casual settings.”

They held their drinks reception in the boat house which is brimming with beautiful art and antique furniture and boasts picturesque views of the lush surrounds.

They paid a fabulous tribute to Jasmynn’s heritage through music with Mariachi San Patricio and they successfully managed to keep it a surprise from their loved ones. “The Mariachi band were incredible and nearly every guest we talk to call it the highlight.”

It meant everything to Jasmynn to have her family and friends by her side. “Allyssa and Daniella are my sisters they’re both Mexican-American like me of course. Julie is my childhood best friend she is American. Hannah is my husband’s sister but she’s become my sister since the first day I met her. I also had her partner Traolach in my bridal party similarly he became my brother the first time I met him. I love them both dearly, family is so important to me.”

Her leading ladies wore stunning ‘something blue’ bridesmaids dresses from Bec + Bridge Moondance Strapless dress in watercolor floral. Allyssa: Baltic Born Isabelle Tulle Maxi Dress. Julie: Azazie Norah Sky Blue A-Line V-Neck Long Sleeve Chiffon Dres color sky blue. Hannah bought her dress from Coast IE but

The swoon-worthiest bouquet including cosmos, sweet pea and delphinium. “Flowers by Rebecca King was our florist. They were the best flowers I could have ever dreamed of.”

Jasmynn did her her makeup and hair herself and she wanted an earthy and ethereal feel. “I don’t like to wear much on my skin as it is quite sensitive and as such I was worried about not looking like myself suddenly having a lot of makeup on just for our wedding so I decided to just stick to myself. I wore a little bit of powdered blush on my cheeks and eyelids and mascara and a little bit of eyebrow filling. I’ve loved doing my own hair and experimenting with hairstyles my whole life. I have naturally curly thick hair and and have in recent years embraced my natural curl and texture. I simply lightly pinned up my natural hair in a sort of messy French twist with a few curls sticking out and called it a day! I think both my hair and makeup came out perfectly and was true to me.”

Jasmynn created their refined stationery with a whimsical wildflower flourish.

They celebrated with an intimate, floral-filled reception in the barn. “We were able to squeeze everyone in for dinner to the main room instead of spreading and splitting the tables out to the back room nearer to the bar. And I made that decision the morning of the wedding to squeeze everyone in and it honestly made it so much more special as we had everyone closer to us and felt like we could interact more with all the loved ones and not have people separated or at the back. We realise if you don’t have the number for this than nothing you can really do about it but, if you do end up with a slightly more modest size group I would definitely recommend keeping everyone closer and more together. Tables could mingle better together as well and we had quiet the mix of friends and family and it felt like we all left as one big family after the day.”

Their fabulous autumn celebration also included a sparkling dress change by Jasmynn, apple pie with fresh cream in lieu of a cake and a first dance to Kirby’s Loved by You. “The song came out in 2016 which was the year Jasmynn and Daniel met. And the lyrics really spoke to Jasmynn kind of about how she felt most of her life wondering if she would ever find someone to love her and that all changed very soon after she met Daniel.”

Jasmynn and Daniel advise couples to take the wedding planning process day by day. “Everything will fall into place as it should. All that really matters are the people that you spend your time with and try not to feel too much pressure on every tiny detail that there is. Chances are all you and your husband and your guests will really remember is how much fun you had and how happy you were to be celebrating such a momentous occasion. And trust me I understand this is easier said than done but you’ll thank yourself later if you just take it easy and try to go with the flow as best as possible.”

The couple decided not to have a honeymoon and they headed back home to California. “We are blessed that our life already feels like one big holiday.”

Congratulations Jasmynn and Daniel! A very special thank you to our lovely couple and to Kelly McAllister for allowing us to dive into the beauty of this magical Mount Druid wedding.
