Danielle and Aaron tied the knot in a magical winter wedding that was lively, fun, and so full of love! They partied like royalty at Cabra Castle where historic elegance meets modern luxury. It was a captivatingly chic and classic black-tie wedding. Their aesthetic was inspired by their family and their little ones were at the heart of the celebration, they found so many adorable ways to involve them from their signage to the ceremony.
Sleek, sophisticated, and elegant, it was a masterpiece in monochrome style. The bride was spectacularly stylish wearing a pleated gown by Milla Nova with her leading ladies in black gowns with the chicest cape sleeves. Surrounded by festive splendour, their celebration included all-white blooms, gorgeous ceremony rituals, a retro-inclined cake, and a jaw-dropping second dress! Photographer Leanne Magill and videographer Johnny Magill of Magills Film and Photography were on hand to capture every unmissable moment and detail. Enjoy!

Danielle is from Millvale while Aaron is from Dromintee and they are based in Mullaghbawn Co. Down. Danielle tells us that she met her true love while they were in secondary school, “Aaron was the year below me in school (I’m 10 months older) when we were 17/18 things became official you could say though he’d been quietly crushing on me since our younger disco days. Around age 13/14 Teenage sweethearts, really.”

The couple got engaged in Edinburgh with Aaron popping the question on a rooftop bar at night with in view of Edinburgh Castle all lit up. “It was absolutely stunning. It’s now officially our favourite city to visit,” Danielle shares.

They held their ceremony in the modern barn which was transformed into a floral fairytale blooming with white blooms including roses, inky black-centred anemones, and ruffled hydrangeas, and lush greenery.

From the very beginning of their wedding planning journey it was their biggest priority to have their children, Laná and Lúan, fully involved and present throughout the day. “We feel so lucky to have two beautiful healthy children that we never take for granted present on the biggest day of our lives. We wanted the wedding to feel like a true family celebration, not just for us but for them too.”

200 of their very lucky loved ones attended their winter wedding which took place on the 29th December. She sheds more light on the aesthetic of their breathtaking celebration, “It was a classic black-tie wedding that was sleek, sophisticated, and elegant, with an incredible party atmosphere from start to finish. It was absolutely flawless! Exactly what we imagined.”

They chose to do a sand ceremony ritual as a meaningful way to involve the children. “They joined us to pour different coloured sands into one vase, symbolising us becoming one family and me officially becoming Mummy Boyle. It kept them engaged and excited during a moment that children might otherwise find boring.” Their son also had the special responsibility of carrying and handing over the rings.

Ellen Maguire performed their ceremony music and she was accompanied by Kevy Canavan on piano and guitar. They walked down the aisle to You’ve Got the Love by Florence and the Machine.

Danielle and Aaron were left utterly spellbound by the luxurious castle venue when they viewed it. “The castle itself is absolutely breathtaking, and we only viewed two venues—this was the second one. From the moment we stepped inside, everything felt perfect. There was a point during the tour when I actually started to cry, imagining our big day there—it felt like the cherry on top of the cake for me. And for Aaron, the cherry on top was spotting one of his favourite football players on the same day in the venue! It just felt completely right for both of us.”

Danielle wowed us wearing a silk pleated gown with a peplum waist by pleated waist by Milla Nova which she sourced at Verona Bridal. She accessorised with a satin-edge veil, a flowing neck scarf, accessories from Thee Dress House and Sophia Webster heels.

Set on 100 acres of parkland and gardens, with the magnificent backdrop of Dún a Rí Forest Park, Cabra Castle provided a fairytale backdrop for their joyful wedding day.

Danielle’s bridesmaids wore black gowns with stunning cape-style sleeves and they carried bouquets of delicate baby’s breath.

Their stationery was by It’s Eimears Weddings and their invitations were sent from the perspective of their children as if they were inviting everyone to their mummy and daddy’s wedding. What an adorable idea! “That theme continued on the day with our welcome sign, featuring a photo of the two of them dressed as a mini bride and groom, with the words “Welcome to our mummy and our daddy’s wedding.”

Their castle wedding also included a one-tier wedding cake with luxurious swags by For Goodness Cakes.

In a beautiful surprise, the couple gave flowers to their parents and grandmothers during the reception. “The children were included again when we handed them out a small bag each with two toys in it for them something we carefully thought through to keep them involved and enjoying the day.”

So sweetly, their children were also fully involved in cutting the cake and they absolutely loved doing it with a real sword! “We also had 22 kids at our wedding and for that reason again to make sure our children were having the best day ever too. In saying that we carefully placed a kiddies bag at each table were the kids were sitting again to keep the kids entertained as we do know parents of kids love an excuse of not taking their kids to weddings for a day/night off so we wanted to make things a little easier for the parents so they could enjoy their day as much too!”

Above all, it was important to the couple that to their loved ones had an incredible day from start to finish. “We knew we didn’t want a boring wedding; we wanted it to feel like one big party all day long. Lively, fun, and full of love was always the goal.”

Dapper groom Aaron and his best gents opted for elegant suits from McCartan Bros.

Danielle and Aaron chose Forever by Chris Brown for their first dance and they had everyone raring to join them on the dancefloor after.

Danielle’s top piece of wedding advice is to soak up all the magic! “Take a few moments throughout the day to look around the room and really absorb everyone’s mood and the vibe you’ve created. Try not to get overwhelmed by what others think you should have, do, or wear—it’s your day, so do what feels right for the two of you. Trust the work you’ve put in and enjoy every second. If anything doesn’t go exactly to plan, only you will know, and nobody else will care. And whatever you do, don’t leave the dancefloor, dance the night away and book DJ Magiggs if you haven’t already he absolutely knows how to get the party started!”

Danielle’s swoon-inducing bridal style included a dazzling second dress by Rosie Etienne. The mini dress featured a statement corset with illusion accents and exposed boning, pearl embellishment and an elegant draped sash. She completed the show-stopping ensemble with embellished heels by Club L.

Danielle and Aaron had their dream honeymoon in South Africa and they would 100% recommend it. “The main reason was the safari experience (of course), but while we were there we decided to really explore the country. We started in Cape Town and then drove ourselves along the Garden Route zip lining, tasting the different foods, crocodile cage diving and then finishing at the incredible Pumba Safari near Port Elizabeth. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure- exactly what we needed. We headed off on our honeymoon just three days after the wedding, which some might call crazy, but it was absolutely right for us. We’d been in the most amazing bubble for four weeks straight from Christmas, to the wedding, to day two, to New Year’s, and then straight into our honeymoon. It was unforgettable.”

A huge congratulations and thank you to Danielle and Aaron for sharing their fairytale Cabra Castle wedding with One Fab Day! A very special thank you to Leanne and Johnny Magill of Magills Film and Photography who captured their dream day in all its wonder.
