Every beautiful detail and precious moment was captured by Jenya Johnston, enjoy!

Brittany is originally from Indianapolis in Indiana and she met the love of her life while she was on holiday in Ireland. She tells us, “I met Rob on my first night in Dublin at the Celt pub! The story I like to tell is that it was totally random- but we actually had matched on a dating site right before I came over. Regardless, we ended up seeing each other several more times on my holiday. I went back to America, and four months later Rob came to America to play football for a team in Colorado. I immediately visited him there from Indiana, and from there I just never really stopped! I ended up moving to Colorado, and then we both decided to come to Ireland so Rob could play for the League of Ireland again!”

The proposal was perfect and it came as such a shock to Brittany. “Rob and I were on holiday in Costa Rica, and we had hiked 500 stairs down to a massive, beautiful waterfall in La Fortuna. We got up bright and early so we could be the first ones there. When we got to the bottom, I set up my camera like I always do to take a photo of us, and that’s when Rob got down on one knee! It was such a special moment, and we went for a swim at the bottom of the waterfall afterwards before the crowds started to arrive. I had no idea he was planning it but I was ecstatic.”

Brittany and Rob’s top priority was to celebrate their love story surrounded by all their friends and family they cherish and they wanted everyone to have a ball.

Brittany exuded timeless glamour wearing a breathtaking lace wedding dress by Calla Blanche which she sourced at Marie Gabriel Bridal in Indianapolis. She accessorised with an heirloom diamond necklace that belonged to her late grandmother, earrings and a bracelet from Fable England, a beautiful veil, and pearl bridal flats from Amazon.

She sheds more light on what drove their lush wedding aesthetic, “I wanted something romantic, boho and earthy, and something that encompassed Ireland to me. I have always been inspired by nature and the beauty of the things naturally occurring around us. I wanted to lean into that!”

The florals designed by Petite Fleurs were laden with gorgeous greenery which felt wild yet elegant and added to the unforgettable beauty of their countryside celebration.

Brittany and Rob tied the knot in St. Oliver’s Church which dates back to the 17th century, what a captivating location to exchange vows! Their celebration was coordinated by Daragh Doyle who also acted as their celebrant.

Reflecting on their beautiful ceremony Brittany says, “Rob and I did our own vows, and it allowed everyone to feel the love between us and get to know our story more personally.”

Their ceremony music included Dan McCabe’s cover of the classic Irish ballad Grace.

Makeup artist Caoimhe Smith Walsh created Brittany’s soft glam beauty look while Anne Marie Doherty was the hairstylist behind her beautiful relaxed waves.

Rob’s rich brown suit from Next which was matched with tonal brown accessories was the perfect look for their rustic and romantic venue.

Warm and inviting, their tablescape decor included woven circular tablemats, linen napkins, foliage-print place names, coloured glass vases. In keeping with the nature-inspired theme, lush foliage snaked up the tables.

Their are so many cute ways to include your pets in your special day and they had sweet prints of their cats Kitty and Archie on drinks napkins. “I had printed big photos of my cats that I used to dance with since the cats couldn’t be there!”

They opted for a delicious donut tower instead of a cake which also gave a sweet nod to their love story. She reminisces, “The day I met Rob in Dublin (my first day in Dublin on my holiday), all I had eaten that day was a donut from Rolling Donut.” They gifted homemade sweets bags as their wedding favours.

They were instantly charmed by their wedding venue set which is a hidden gem set on 200 acres of picturesque Meath countryside. “Loughcrew has a thick Irish history, with the church dating back around 400 years. It felt like you stepped back in time, it had a very romantic vibe, and the grounds were so beautiful you really didn’t need to add much to it at all.”

“This was the first time we got to have all of our friends and family together,” the bride reflects. “It was so incredibly special to get to bring both of our lives together and celebrate with everyone at once! I had a few extra little things that made it special to me.”

After swooning endlessly over their summer wedding, we had to know their top piece of wedding advice. Brittany says, “I know I was extremely stressed during the entire process, but the advice I would give is to try and be calm on the day of – just soak it up and enjoy. Things will go wrong and no one will probably even notice! Just focus on your partner, your love, and celebrating!”

Brittany and Rob’s first dance was so romantic as they swayed to All Your’n by Tyler Childers.

Their timeless celebration also included a sensational sparkler photo. Pure joy personified!

Every unforgettable moment was captured by their videographer Run Wild Weddings who specialises in modern and documentary wedding films.

They are planning to head to Thailand and Vietnam on their honeymoon during Rob’s off season from
football.
