The delight was truly in the detail during this divine Kerry wedding. Real wedding couple Cora and Daniel celebrated their special day at The Brehon Hotel in Killarney which boasts screen-worthy scenery. It was an epically beautiful setting for their wonderful day of love which included sparkling bridal style, classic black-tie groomswear, bridesmaids in lustrous velvet, toffee roses, sublime stationery, and a white wedding cake with a whimsical twist. Prepare yourself for oodles of rustic autumn wedding inspiration as you feast your eyes on the stunning images from Shane Turner Photography.

So we know you’re wondering how Cora and Daniel’s happily ever after began. Our lovely bride is from Co. Galway and wonderful groom Daniel is from Co Tipperary. Sparks flew between them when they met on a dating app. Cora shares, “We started talking and the rest is history! We will know each other 10 years next year.”

The couple chose a forest theme with an elegant tree print included across their stationary along with forest green envelopes and ribbons for the invites that were lined inside with the forest print too. “I wanted the stationary to be cohesive and personalised for our guests. The groom’s talented cousin Chloe kindly did the beautifully calligraphy for our invitation envelopes and the name places for the menus, which really elevated our stationary – a very personal touch,” Cora explains.

The air was filled with laughter and a feeling of true joy pervaded on the wedding morning as the bride and groom got ready for the aisle surrounded by their loved ones.

Daniel popped the question at Malahide Castle in November 2021. They celebrated their exciting new chapter with dinner at a romantic Italian restaurant to celebrate after. That’s amore! Today they live in Templemore in Co. Tipperary.

Ensuring it was a wonderful day for their family and friends was of the utmost priority. “We wanted our guests to experience excellent service and delectable food, have a great time and dance the night away!”

Cora was enchanting in her dazzling embellished wedding dress by Luce Sposa with a plunge neckline, gently puffed sleeves and an ethereal overskirt.

Cora tells us more about how she dreamt up their stunning wedding aesthetic, “I was browsing social media and websites including One Fab Day for inspiration. I scrolled on Instagram and searched online for ideas and slowly but surely it all came together. I decided on the flower colour theme a few short weeks before the wedding with help from my mother-in-law Joanne. Danielle from Tie The Knot Weddings really pulled out all the stops with the flowers.”

The bride carried a delicate bouquet of blush roses while toffee and blush roses along with dried grasses made up the bridesmaids’ bouquets and the flower arrangements. “I couldn’t have picked a better colour scheme for the flowers – they were absolutely stunning and worked so well for the time of the year – giving autumnal vibes, coming into the winter season.”

The couple exchanged vows at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Killarney with 120 lucky guests joining them for their ‘I dos’.

Their guests were still talking about their ceremony music months after their big day. “Our favourite piece of music was Panis Angelicus – sung by the sensational Emer Barry Soprano. She sang so beautifully during the ceremony. Our guests were all complimenting her singing on the day and for months afterwards – a real testament to her.”

You would want those dreamy blooms to live forever and Cora had them preserved and framed as keepsakes for their new home and to gift to her wonderful maid of honour, her sister Laura.

Documenting their day perfectly was so important to the couple and they had their dream duo picked out well in advance. “We booked Shane Turner Photography and Gintas from Pilgrim Films as our videographer two years in advance as we love their style of photography and videography, as well as their previous work. Both Shane and Gintas worked seamlessly together and we can’t thank them enough for capturing our day so beautifully.”

When it came to choosing their wedding venue, it was the easiest ‘I do’ for The Brehon. “We have stayed there many times over the years, it feels like home away from home. From the delicious food, wonderful staff and a fantastic atmosphere – The Brehon Hotel really has it all. The wedding and events manager Caitriona Ashe and her team provided immense support and guidance. The level of detail and professionalism was exceptional. We didn’t have to worry about anything on the day as it was all taken care of by the wonderful staff.”

Daniel’s creative cousins Chloe, Sorcha and Ava helped make Cora’s reception stationery dreams come true as she created the menus with them which had the name places attached with green velvet ribbons to match the deep green bridesmaid dresses.

The tables were named after types of trees (what a cute table name idea) and their guests were treated to scrumptious Lily O’Brien’s chocolates.

Daniel’s aunt Joanne created their sophisticated white cake which had a romantic flourish thanks to the sugar flowers. “It was absolutely stunning and went down a treat.”

Another swoon-worthy detail which tied into the rustically romantic theme was their wooden bark cake stand which was personalised with their new married moniker and the date of their special day.

The couple’s celebration had everything from a gorgeous retro sweet stand to a high-energy wedding band The Best Men. They chose Galway Girl as their first dance song and the dancefloor was absolutely thriving all night long.

After seeing all the magic details, we couldn’t wait to hear their top wedding tip. “We would advise couples to spend as much of the reception together as possible, so you both have the same memories,” Cora shares. “Things might happen on the day that you can’t predict and can’t fix but try not to let it get to you, as the guests likely will not notice. The day really does fly by, so try to make the most of it and enjoy it!”

They chose two glamorous honeymoon destinations, they went to the Seychelles and swung by Dubai on the way home. “The Seychelles were so relaxing, we were able to unwind on the beautiful beaches after our wedding. Dubai was more fast paced, we loved the ATV driving as part of the desert safari. Both destinations were totally different, we loved our experiences there – especially in The Seychelles – we would definitely recommend a trip there to other couples.”
