A Wonderfully Romantic Restaurant Wedding in Dublin

Dreaming of an effortlessly stylish restaurant wedding? Today’s real wedding featuring the wonderful couple Carolina and Brian is all the inspiration you could ever need. Joined by 90 of their cherished people they wed at Marco Pierre White in Dublin and we know you will swoon over every single detail. Carolina is an interior designer and she relished the opportunity to dive into the details and plan their stunning celebration.

Their timeless and elegant aesthetic was inspired by the bride’s breathtaking ensemble and softly sweet pastel blooms married beautifully with the bridesmaids’ midnight blue dresses. They exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony and celebrated with a candlelight reception and Katie Farrell captured their city celebration in all its perfection below. Let’s check it out!

Carolina is from Brazil and Brian is from Clare and their love story started eight years ago when they met on a dating app. After a couple of months of chatting they decided to take things offline and the rest is history.

Their proposal location was of the jaw-dropping variety as Brian popped the question at the Jardins du Trocadero near the Eiffel Tour in Paris. He reminisces, “We got engaged on the 23rd of March 2024 but it wasn’t as smooth as I had hoped. On the morning we were due to go to the Jardins du Trocadero, there was rain forecast for a bit later. When we arrived at the gardens, I could see the clouds coming so I had to quickly find a suitable spot but Carolina couldn’t understand why I was rushing her and not in the mood for taking any photos. Eventually we found a quiet spot in the gardens and I proposed – Carolina was very surprised – ‘I thought you’d never ask!’ she responded. I had to ask again to make sure that it was a yes and then the rain arrived.”

The Dublin-based couple wanted to ensure their guests had a beautiful day celebrating their city wedding.

Linda Flynn, Carolina’s maid of honour, used to be a make up artist and she did all the beauty while Yure Emilio was on hair.

Carolina created all of their elegant stationery which boasted delicate botanical illustrations.

The inspiration for their effortlessly gorgeous celebration began with Carolina’s dream wedding dress. She explains, “A classic long sleeve dress which brings some contemporary elegance and a timeless style. Following that, the colour palette was developed after choosing the bridesmaids dresses which were a midnight blue.”

Her leading ladies wore satin midnight blue dresses from wed2b with mix and match necklines with beige sandals from Dune London.

Carolina wore the Jenny dress by AL Bridal Couture. Designer Audra Levinskaite specialises in sophisticated, luxurious and timeless dresses with a contemporary twist. Crafted from lustrous satin, the fit and flare gown boasts a structured corseted bodice and detachable long sleeves. She styled it with Mango heels and accessories from Astrid & Miyu and Hobbs London.

When it came to venue hunting they wanted a small and intimate location that could host both the ceremony and reception. Marco Pierre White in the leafy suburb of Donnybrook was the perfect size and it had a beautiful atmosphere and incredible food.

With ceremony music courtesy of harpist Clara Booth their songs included Je Te Laisserai Des Mots by Patrick Watson. Their readings included If You Can Love Each Other which is a simple but beautiful piece loaded with sage wisdom.

The breathtaking finisher to Carolina’s bridal look? Her veil with an expressive and utterly enchanting floral detail.

Sensational summer suiting. Brian and his groomsmen were perfectly styled for the sun-kissed summer celebration as they wore three-piece sandstone suits from Dorian Black with navy ties to match the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Some of Carolina’s family members based in Brazil could not attend but they were very much there in spirit. One of her bridesmaids had a sweet surprise video made full of beautiful messages from her loved ones back home.

Their textural white wedding cake by Baked Cake Design adorned with pastel blooms was refined yet wonderfully romantic!

After seeing their chicer-than-chic city celebration we wondered what wedding planning tips Carolina had. She says, “One step at a time, try to limit your options. When you have too many options, it can be tricky and slow down the process. Filter by style, what can actually be done, places, budget etc… Trust your gut!”

The couple hit the dancefloor for the first time as a married couple to Redbone. “It was always our song and it worked out really well,” she reminisces.

The sax-fuelled band The MASS Band ensured the dancefloor was thriving all night as they served up a sensational set of disco, soul and funk hits.

The newlyweds have their sights set on Japan for their honeymoon.

A wonderful thank you to Carolina, Brian and Katie Farrell for sharing this magical Marco Pierre White wedding with One Fab Day! There are lots more gorgeous photos to pore over in the gallery below.
