Stranger things have happened… but Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s second wedding was a real-life fairytale. The Stranger Things actress and son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi first wed in a secret ceremony in May 2024. It was a “low-key romantic affair” with their closest family and all the details were kept incredibly hush hush. The couple followed up with a glamorous multi-day destination wedding in October which took place in Tuscany, Italy. They tied the knot at Villa Cetinale surrounded by family, friends and co-stars with Stranger Things’ Matthew Modine acting as their officiant.
The luxury 17th-century Baroque estate, which featured in season three of Succession, is located just outside Siena and it provided a mesmerising backdrop to what was undoubtedly one of the biggest celebrity weddings of 2024. Millie wowed in four incredible bridal looks with vintage and bespoke designer dresses in the mix and romantic lace featuring prominently. Brides who are considering wearing multiple wedding dresses will find so much inspiration here, from the ceremony right through to the after-party. Get ready to swoon as we dissect every one of her looks below.

The Ceremony Dress
She exuded timeless glamour wearing an off-white French lace gown by Isreali bridal designer Galia Lahav. The Emmy-nominated star fell in love with the Anais gown so they created a bespoke version for her. The fit and flare gown which features delicate floral straps, an angel wing neckline, a pointed waistline seam and a flowing fitted skirt was styled with a dramatic overskirt.

Sharon Sever, Head Designer at Galia Lahav, said it was a “true honour” to create the wedding look for such a talented actress. “Millie Bobby brought depth & complexity to her iconic role in Stranger Things, and now she brings grace & beauty to her special day in another iconic way. I can’t wait to see her shine as she steps into a new chapter of her life & wish her and Jake only happiness, love & health for their future together.”

Adding to the ethereal dreaminess was her custom Monvieve Franca veil which was trimmed with lace. She wore sparkling yellow gold, diamond and pearl earrings from Ritique too. Millie’s mum Kelly and Jake’s mother Dorothea also wore bespoke Galia Lahav ensembles.

The Pre-Reception Dress
The Hollywood starlet was a vision of retro romance in a vintage Valentino dress rumoured to be from the Fall 1993 Collection. It comprised of a delicate lace high neckline and capped sleeves, a satin corset with a bow accent, and a drop waist tiered lace skirt. The shorter hem gave a sneak glimpse at her Manolo Blahnik Maidugura mules with crystal-encrusted straps.

The Reception Dress
If you’re looking for inspiration for a second-look wedding dress change, Millie did it flawlessly. To cut the cake with her new husband, she changed into a lace column gown by Oscar de La Renta with a halter neckline and a low bow. She changed up her hair too, leaving it tumbling down over her shoulders adding to the effortless sexiness of the look.

The After-Party Dress
She opted for a short wedding dress to dance the night away. Millie donned a lustrous Vivienne Westwood bustier mini, which is similar to the Nova Cora off-shoulder mini dress. The perfect accessory? A satin bow tie which we can confidently assume is her hubby’s!
