An Epically Stylish Two-Part Wedding Celebration

An Epically Stylish Two-Part Wedding Celebration

Looking for home and abroad two-part wedding inspiration? Rory & Dearbhail’s stylish celebration is one we’d have loved to be on the guest list for! Their wedding was a perfect mix of contemporary style, understated elegance, and heartfelt moments. Dearbhail wowed in chic ensembles for both celebrations, while the crisp blue-and-white décor and carefully curated details at their Marbella reception reflected the couple’s modern, stylish aesthetic.

The first of their two-part wedding celebrations began with an intimate ceremony at home in Ireland, followed by a private dinner for 19 guests at The Shelbourne. It’s a masterclass in keeping it elegant, meaningful, and beautifully intimate.

Two months later, the couple reunited with 145 of their closest family and friends for a sun-soaked destination celebration at Casa de La Era in Marbella, creating a joyful, relaxed, and unforgettable atmosphere. Every moment felt effortless, stylish, full of love, and completely true to them—exactly the kind of wedding we’d dream of attending! Captured beautifully by Julie Cummins, we’re delighted to share both of the couple’s stylish celebrations, thanks to her incredible work.

First things first, let’s get to know today’s lovely couple a little better. Rory & Dearbhail are originally from Meath and Dublin, respectively, and are now happily based together in Meath.

Rory and Dearbhail first crossed paths at a friend’s 21st birthday party in Dublin back in 2015, and the spark between them was undeniable. Fast forward to 2023, Rory planned the most romantic proposal at the lily pond of the stunning Dromoland Castle in Co. Clare — a magical setting for such a special moment.

Once engaged, Rory and Dearbhail set their sights on a 2025 wedding and decided to make it a two-part celebration: an intimate ceremony and dinner in Ireland, followed by a glamorous sun-soaked celebration in Marbella.

Their Irish celebrations began with getting ready together at home, followed by a heartfelt ceremony at Rory’s parents’ house in Meath on 15th March 2025.

After, the couple and 19 of their guests headed to Dublin City for an intimate reception dinner in the Constitution Suite in the Shelbourne Hotel.

Dearbhail’s city wedding look was achingly chic! She wore a white suit with an oversized jacket by Rotate Birger Christensen, sourced from Farfetch. She completed her sleek and contemporary bridal ensemble with cream Manolo Blahnik and oversized Simone Rocha ribbon bow earrings.

Rory looked effortlessly sharp in a Canali suit, paired with Church’s loafers and finished with a Tom Ford bow tie.

Two months later, the lovebirds said “I do” again on 2nd May 2025. The pair say the day was wonderfully relaxed and exactly the vibe they had hoped for—having taken care of the formalities in Dublin. “It just felt like we were on a holiday with all our friends and family in Marbella! This was exactly what we wanted so we were delighted.”

145 of their loved ones joined the couple for their celebration at Casa de La Era in Marbella, Spain, a magnificent private venue offering stunning sea and mountain views.

What made the venue “the one” for them was the amphitheater-style seating and the way the entire space felt completely open, creating a stunning and airy setting for their celebration.

From the very beginning, it was important to Rory and Dearbhail to have all their friends and family together in a beautiful, sunny Spanish venue, ensuring everyone had an unforgettable day and night. Music and food were also top priorities, as they wanted everyone to celebrate in style.

Having all their loved ones together in Marbella was especially meaningful—Rory’s family have been visiting the area for 20 years, and the couple themselves have returned multiple times a year over the past few years.

Their wedding aesthetic was inspired by a minimalist, rustic vibe to complement the venue. Dearbhail loves hydrangeas and daisies, so these were the main flowers chosen to bring their vision to life.

The couple exchanged rings from Linda’s of Kinsale, adding a sweet touch of home to their Spanish celebrations. Ceremony music was provided by Lucy Faye, with Natasha of Malagaminster officiating the ceremony.

For their Spanish celebrations, the couple truly pulled out all the stops. Dearbhail dazzled in a custom creation by Irish designer Mizz Rio, paired with Gucci embellished slingback pumps, Tom Ford sunglasses, and a Cartier watch, and completed her look with the Simone Rocha earrings she had worn at her Irish wedding. Her makeup was expertly done by her bridesmaid Ciara Rogan, and her hair was styled by Milk & Roses Marbella.

Rory looked effortlessly sharp in a Tom Ford suit, paired with Boss shoes, and completed his stylish ensemble with a Tom Ford bow tie and Tom Ford sunglasses.

The bridesmaids wore contemporary black dresses from COS, while the groomsmen looked sharp in Massimo Dutti suits.

Their Spanish celebrations featured a fresh and crisp blue-and-white palette, accented with roses and hydrangeas. The stationery was designed by Irish designer Studio MarieClaire, based in London, while flowers and décor were created by LEMONFACE Flower & Deco.

Following the sudden loss of her dad in January 2024, it was important to Dearbhail and Rory that he was felt and remembered on their wedding day. He was honoured through his favourite songs, photographs, and fond memories shared during the speeches, as well as a sweet embroidery detail on the bride’s gown.

A particularly moving moment came when Dearbhail’s twin brother, Eoghan, delivered a heartfelt reading on behalf of her family, creating one of the most memorable and cherished moments of the celebration.

What a party! Rory and Dearbhail made a show-stopping entrance, instantly setting the tone for a celebration full of energy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Rather than a traditional wedding cake, the couple opted for a stunning champagne tower, adding a touch of glamour and fun to their celebration.

For their first dance as newlyweds, the couple chose a slowed-down version of I Like Me Better by Lauv, performed live by Stereo Star Band.

Their advice for other couples planning a wedding? “If you’re celebrating abroad, definitely hire a wedding planner!” They add that Raquel, their planner from Wanderlust Weddings Spain, handled every single detail, making the entire process seamless and stress-free.

When it comes to their honeymoon, Rory and Dearbhail are still deciding, with South Africa in January currently on their radar. They’ve chosen to spread it out, giving themselves something wonderful to look forward to after the wedding celebrations. “We decided to drag it out so that we had something else to look forward to!”.
