Whether you’re a sustainably-minded couple, a devoted foodie, a keen gardener, or simply someone who loves charm and character, Airfield Estate in South Dublin will captivate you. This working urban farm in Dundrum, just 15 minutes from the city centre, is a sprawling, picturesque sanctuary that doubles as a truly unique wedding venue.
Tucked away on 38 acres of lush farmland, it offers a variety of stunning ceremony and reception spaces, from a light-filled Victorian home to a chic, stylish restaurant. Perfect for intimate gatherings or larger celebrations of up to 110 guests, Airfield Estate remains one of our favourite Dublin venues – and this digital tour is just a taste of its magic.

But Airfield is so much more than a beautiful backdrop. It is a living, breathing trust where learning thrives, the land is lovingly tended, and visitors are invited to slow down, reconnect, and savour the story of their food from soil to table. Every corner of the estate is infused with care, history, and a sense of connection – making it a wedding venue that feels as soulful as it is stunning.

The Space at Airfield Estate
One of the best things about Airfield Estate is just how versatile it is – the team work really hard in collaboration with each couple to create a unique day that perfectly suits their personalities. And you’re really spoiled for choice when it comes to ceremony and reception spaces. You can exchange vows under the pergola in the ornamental Walled Garden, in minimalist haven The Hive, or in the historic Airfield House. And yes, Airfield Estate is fully licenced for civil ceremonies!
For your reception, there’s the aforementioned Airfield House, which seats up to 54 guests in its light-filled Library, or the airy Overends Kitchen, which seats up to 110 guests.

The Vibe at Airfield Estate Weddings
There are two words that we always use about the wedding offering at Airfield Estate – gorgeous and intimate. In warmer months, guests can even enjoy the beautiful gardens and couples can make the most of that space for their wedding portraits, as we saw in Ronan and Kathy’s flower-filled wedding. And while there’s no accommodation on site, the team will happily provide you with a list of lovely nearby hotels for you and your guests.

The Food and Drink at Airfield Estate Weddings
Renowned for its farm-to-fork cuisine, Airfield Estate really is a food lover’s dream come true. Much of the food served is grown and produced right on the estate, meaning that the menus will always be sustainable, seasonal, and local.
Because of the hyper-seasonal nature of dining at Airfield Estate, the team is happy to provide more information about wedding menus upon request based on your proposed wedding date.

The Highlight at Airfield Estate Weddings
It’s impossible to pick our favourite thing about this beautiful estate so we’ll choose two instead – the effortless, seasonal cuisine and relaxed atmosphere. The Airfield Estate Instagram account makes us want to pack up our lives and move to the countryside, stat!
