What to Consider Before Wedding Bouquet Preservation
If preserving your wedding bouquet is something you are certain you want to do, you need to plan for it now as often there is a lead time with preservation professionals, and certain preservation methods require you to act much quicker than others after your wedding, so your blooms can be immortalized in the freshest possible state.

On the day, try not to set your flowers down on their side, when not holding them pop them in a vase or hand to someone to hold as his will help to prevent any bruising on their delicate petals and flower heads.

Different artists will have different methods, but typically the fresher the flowers are for the drying or preservation process, the better. To help keep your wedding bouquet fresh until your professional can preserve the blooms, make sure to pop the stems in water as soon as possible. Store the flowers in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight until you’re ready to send them to be preserved. This is particularly important if the weather, venue or your home is hot as it will prevent the flowers from wilting. However, it is advised not to place them in a fridge or freezer.

Shipping to your wedding bouquet preservation artist is done within five days of the event, and ideally within two to three days for best results. You can then arrange to drop off your bouquet, or blooms in person, or your preservation artist will tell you the correct way to ship your bouquet safety to them so you can jet off to your honeymoon knowing it is in safe hands.
