A nostalgic ode to everlasting love, designer Brittany Castanos drew inspiration from her grandparents’ favourite song Moon River by Henry Mancini to create her latest collection. “Their love story and this song are intertwined, woven stitches in my heart’s happiest memories,” she highlights. “This collection was imagined and drafted while I was experiencing a love like theirs—the drenched-in-romance kind, the yearning, drifting, dreaming kind. The kind that lasts and that you never knew existed. But when you feel it, you say, ‘Oh so THIS is how it is supposed to feel’.”
The collection reimagines nostalgic elegance and features a slub silk drop-waist dress, a French corded lace bustier gown and a floral-imprinted silk style boasting a cat eye corset top, delicate ruffles and peplum detailing. It gives a beautiful nod to Victorian-era romance which is one of the biggest trends for 2026. A stunning example is the box pleat trim that adorn the necklines of many of the dresses and the modern exposed scalloped French corded lace that edges hems also lean into the trend. 70s-inspired ruffles are yet another enchanting retro feature which gets a modern revamp.
