Iconic Carrie Bradshaw Wedding Dress Snapped Up for €16

We love a good bargain and this brilliant bridal buy will leave you breathless. A savvy shopper in the US made an epic discovery when she visited a local charity shop. She bought the iconic Vera Wang wedding dress worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in the 2008 Sex and the City movie.

Fans will remember drooling over the gown that Carrie Bradshaw wore during the Vogue bridal shoot ahead of her almost wedding to Mr Big. Ashley Cano, who runs the account @aileenscloset90 on TikTok, was left stunned after she snapped up the dress for thousands of dollars cheaper.

@aileenscloset90 I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this dress. But I fear I may have bit off more than I can chew. It’s so big, so heavy. And I have no clue how to best sell it. Any help? #thrift #resellercommunity #resell #thrifthaul ♬ original sound – Ashley Cano

In her TikTok video that went viral, Ashley explained that she found the designer wedding dress at a Goodwill in Chicago.

She showcased the dreamy strapless gown with a feathered tulle skirt in the clip as she detailed her dazzling discovery.

“Vera freaking Wang,” she exclaimed. “I cannot believe that I found this dress at Goodwill for $18.99. It is Vera Wang. It is the Carrie Bradshaw dress. I am shook!”

While she paid a budget price for the dress according to bridal resale sites you could be expecting to shell out around €6k ($7k) for it.

She said that she wanted to “spread the love and bless a bride” by selling it “somewhere at 15-20% of retail.”

Unsurprisingly, she revealed in a separate video that she had received an “insane amount of requests” by brides to be hoping to get their hands on the breathtaking gown.

An eagle-eyed TikTok user pointed out however that it was not the exact same dress.

“Yes same designer but not the same dress,” they commented. “If you look at the one she’s wearing the dress has more of fabric/application is clump to look more like flowers on the body of the dress. Still a great buy.”
