TV presenter Yvonne Connolly and cinematographer John Conroy wed in an intimate wedding in New York surrounded by their children. While Yvonne has long said they are “happily unmarried” after 14 years together they’ve only gone and made it official. The couple did their dream day, their way! How They Met
John and Yvonne have her daughter Missy to thank for their happily ever after as they met on the set of her first movie, Dark Touch.
“I first met John on a film set in 2011 and my daughter was acting in it, she had the lead role, and I was introduced to John. He was the DP which means he shoots the movie, and for me, it was love at first sight,” she told EVOKE. As she was chaperoning her daughter she joined the team on the shoot in Sweden and that’s where she really got to know him.
“When you’re on a movie set, three weeks feels like three years, so I felt like I really knew him by the end of that. It went on for a couple of months and it wasn’t until the very end of the shoot that we went out on a date and we did. Neither of us expected too much because we were both just out of relationships and here we are nine years later,” she explained.
One Big Happy Blended Family
They are all about their family and their children made their special day as magical as could be! Yvonne shares three kids with her ex-husband Boyzone’s Ronan Keating – Jack, Missy, and Ali. John and his former wife Suzanne were married for 20 years and they have six children: Lauren, Grace, Christian, Gabe, Rian, and Fionn.
The Big Day
“I married the love of my life today in New York City, enveloped by our 9 children. Tears of joy and happiness have been shed, and our true love celebrated,’ Yvonne announced on social media as she shared a glimpse into their spring celebration.
Yvonne revealed that her daughter Missy who lives in NYC took the reins and organised their gorgeous day and what a celebration to remember it was.
Sometimes thing do not always go according to plan on the wedding day and when they hit gridlock traffic they had to come up with a plan B to get to the ceremony in time. “We had to get out of the car and run to the subway to make the ceremony in Central Park. It couldn’t have been more NY!!” she shared.
The Style
While their guest list was small, their city wedding was huge on style. Radiant bride Yvonne was the epitome of elegance wearing a lustrous A-line dress by Irish designer Róisín Linnane with a statement ruffle neckline.
She accessorised with sparkling golden leaf earrings by Olivia Dar from Emporium Kalu in Kilkenny.
Staying true to your personal style is so important on your wedding day and Yvonne wore the exact same dress and accessories in different colours to attend the Emmys in 2025. What a stunning, timeless combo!
Groom John was the definition of dashing wearing a classic suit from Louis Copeland & Sons. It was a magical monochrome celebration as their children wore chic black ensembles.

The couple travelled in serious style in a sophisticated white Rolls-Royce.
The bouquets married snowy baby’s breath and chrysanthemum which perfectly complemented the relaxed and romantic vibe of the springtime city celebration.
