Let’s get to know our bride… Louise met her love Mark during COVID when she had moved home from New York. “Our first date was in November 2020 and we sat outside a pub (that was closed because of the restrictions) we ate pizza and drank wine and chatted for hours. I remember thinking what’s the catch with this guy? He seemed too good to be true. But there was no catch and here we are!”

Their proposal was lovely and very them she says and their baby boy Jude made the moment all the more magical! “Mark planned it for when we were down in Spanish Point with Jude. We went for a walk to where we normally watch the sunset, put down a blanket & were just sitting and playing with Jude. Then he pulled out a ring box from under the blanket. It was so special.”

Louise loves feminine and classic pieces and she wanted her wedding wardrobe to stay very much true to her style.

“I loved the wedding wardrobe process, for a while! I’m now at the stage where I’m happy to not have to buy any more white pieces. I also found with anything directed at brides the price-point always seemed to be a bit higher, so I’m excited to have a little more disposable income going forward. I will have to do one hell of a clear out in the new year. I’m not quite ready to part with anything yet though.”

The bride-to-be was whisked away to London for an uber-glamorous hen. For dinner at Sushi Samba on the first night she wore an embroidered lace and subtly beaded mini by Rosie Etienne, cascading organic pearl earrings from her collaboration with One Dame Lane and Mantra heels. She found the perfect bag for her hen and other wedding-related events, a beige and white Gucci mini bag, on Vinted.

“I loved this dress – Rosie Etienne do the most stunning bridal minis for hens or if you’re doing a second look on your wedding day.

To soak up the sights on a champagne tour, Louise wore a sheer feather blouse by Bübish, a liquid satin bralette and trousers by Irish designer Sinead Keary, pointed-toe heels from Mantra, and cute bridal accessories including heart-shaped sunglasses and a satin-edged veil.

“It felt like something from Spice World The Movie, and I love how well my outfit matched that vibe despite not knowing the plan. It was so much fun to wear which was very fitting for the day that it was!”

She continued her romantic LWDs with a textured mini by Lovers & Friends which she bought on Revolve. The bride accessorised with other pieces from her hen wardrobe with the addition of sheer tulle fingerless gloves from Etsy.

“I found this dress months before my hen and just fell in love. I wanted to add sheer sleeves as the other wedding dress I was torn between had sleeves like this, and I said I can do something similar for my hen and not feeling like I’m missing out.”

The couple held their reception at the ornate Cashel Palace Hotel in Co. Tipperary which had a sweet connection to her family. The bride arrived the day before in effortlessly elegant style wearing a blazer by All The Ways matched with Sinead Keary trousers, Gucci mules and threader pearl earrings from One Dame Lane.

“Yes I had an outfit planned for this part of the day. The excitement of driving down the avenue to where we were going to be getting married. I will never forget that feeling.”

For her final night as a Miss she exuded modern sophistication wearing a Nadine Merabi boned top with a floor-length drape and tailored trousers. She completed the look with sleek Dior shoes from Brown Thomas.

“The night before we did a rehearsal in the church with most of our bridal party, we then went to my uncle’s pub around the corner for a drink and back to Cashel where we had a dinner with all of the bridal party and our families in Mikey Ryan’s. We had drinks and some finger food in Feehan’s (another local pub) for anyone who had arrived on the Thursday night (we had a lot of family travelling from America so it was lovely to get to see them before the wedding).”

Louise began her wedding day wearing a Ralph Lauren chemise from Peaches & Cream with the floor-length chiffon Veronica robe from A Stór which boasts delicate pleated detailing, intricate Chantilly lace and a sweeping train.

Her bridal besties wore Love Laura pyjamas from Walk In Wardrobe. The pretty pastel pink pjs boast red piping, sweet scalloped details and bows. How gorgeous!

Louise’s bridal look was classic, refined, timeless, and absolutely unforgettable. She found the dress of her dreams, the Clemence by Milla Nova, at Verona Bridal. The off-the-shoulder mermaid wedding gown is crafted from delicate Chantilly lace and features a maxi skirt with a midi train.

“Picking my dress was so much fun, I went to two shops, Verona Bridal in Belfast (which is five minutes from Mark’s home) and The White and Gold in Dublin. I found one dress in each that I really loved and I found it so hard to choose as they were quite different, but the one I went with was the third one I tried on. I had pictures but I focused more on how the dress made me feel. I felt great in it, I loved the lace too I think it’s really romantic and timeless. And it was very comfortable, no corset or anything so I could hold Jude and dance the night away in it not a bother.”

She accessorised with jewellery from her One Dame Lane collection which included the Elodie necklace with finely set diamonds, a bracelet and the Belle earrings boasting sparkling zircon stones and pearls.

“They were delicate and statement at the same time and I think they really complemented the dress.”

Sweetly, her mum also wore earrings from her jewellery collaboration, the Elise earrings with geometric-cut stones that offer a contemporary take on classic studs. Louise’s bridal shoes were the Amita patent slingbacks with pearl-adorned straps by Jimmy Choo which she adored for their refined aesthetic.

My shoes are definitely a style I’ll get a lot of wear out of, I got them at Kildare Village. I also searched on Vinted and Vestiaire Collective for wedding shoes before buying mine, but I didn’t get lucky in finding them unfortunately.”

The celebration was a masterclass in modern monochrome styling. Her leading ladies wore beautiful black halter neck crepe gowns by Dresscode while dapper groom Mark wore an exquisite tux by Louis Copeland & Sons.

She wanted to bring a “little bit of Limerick fashion” into her wedding wardrobe so she had her day two look custom-made by Orlaith at the Attic Bridal Boutique. Sculptural and delicate, it comprised of a mini dress with a curved neckline lace maxi skirt with a scalloped hem.

“I love classic shapes and fabrics but with little features that make them unique and different. For the rehearsal dinner I loved the drape detail of the top and the lace in the bottom half of the skirt on day two was beautiful I thought.”

The newlyweds enjoyed two nights away at Adare Manor “decompressing and reminiscing” and Louise wore a range of stunning structured dresses including a Lioness mini with a chic drape belt detail.

She stunned in contemporary tailoring on the second night wearing a cream boucle tweed mini by House of CB.

“Have a sewing kit to hand, I only tried on my outfits maybe twice before wearing them and you just never know what button is going to fall off or what stitch will need to be redone. Also, sort your bridal underwear well in advance and try on/move around with them on in the dress. I only sorted mine the week before and Sinead in Peaches & Cream in Dublin was so, so helpful, I really hadn’t a clue what I needed!
