9 Top Honeymoon Packing Tips

  1. Start gathering items for your trip two weeks before you leave. This is especially important if you’re heading off straight after your wedding day!
  2. Check your airline’s baggage rules (both carry-on and check-in) at least two weeks in advance, as this may effect the luggage you decide to bring with you.
  3. Check your destination’s weather for the season you’ll be visiting in. Remember, hot climates can have rainy seasons!
  4. If you’re going to a remote location, you may not have access to the internet or a printer for printing important documents, so it’s best to have your printed documentation with you when you travel.
  5. Be careful where you store important items. Having both of your passports in one place, or all of your clothing in one bag will make things trickier in the case of lost luggage!
  6. Be sure to get prescriptions filled ahead of your trip, as you may not be able to access your medication abroad. It’s also worth packing over-the-counter medication like painkillers and diarrhea medicine, as visiting a pharmacy in a country where English isn’t widely spoken can be challenging!
  7. Make copies of all your travel documents and leave them with someone at home in case of emergency.
  8. Pack an outfit to travel home in, bearing in mind the climate where you’re landing. There’s nothing worse than waiting for a taxi or bus at the airport in sandals and shorts in 2°C weather!
  9. Use packing cubes, especially if you’re sharing a large suitcase with your partner.
