A Flower-Infused Elopement at Juniper Barn: Tina & Alex
After meeting in a pub in Roscommon just before the first Covid lockdown in 2020 and falling madly in love, real wedding couple Tina and Alex tied the knot in a deeply personal elopement, just the two of them. While they initially thought they would get married in Gretna Green in Scotland, they fell in love with Juniper Barn in Co. Sligo and it was their own romantic world for their blissful special day which was full of colour, flowers and heart and was beautifully lensed by Pink Lime Studios. While Alex opted for slick separates and Converse, it was a stunning sustainable moment from radiant bride Tina who wore a floral embroidered tulle gown by Needle & Thread that she sourced on Adverts.
Her bouquet of vibrant flowers which were picked from the gardens on her wedding morning complemented her ethereal gown magically. Alex is a real horse lover, in fact his gorgeous stead Earnie played a part in helping him propose by wearing a bridle with “Will you marry me” on the side. The couple adore nature so their outdoor ceremony took place by a circle of trees where they exchanged vows and horseshoes to represent their unique love story. Their something old? China cups that were a wedding gift of Tina’s aunt over 60 years ago and they toasted to their happily ever after by sipping champagne from them. Their families were absolutely thrilled when they revealed their happy news the next day with ‘just married’ cupcakes! You can see even more pictures from their wonderful day over on the Pink Lime Studios website.
An Magical Mountain Escape Wedding in France: Augusta & Matthieu
American-French couple Augusta and Matthieu picked a spellbinding location for their autumn wedding, the Farmhouse Hotel in Morzine. From the ancient walled farmhouse which dates back to the 18th century to the astounding view of the French Alps, it is an utterly charming spot to tie the knot as shown by the incredible photos by Reuben Shaul of Eight Bells. The couple did had their romantic first look in the picturesque garden before their epic photoshoot by the mountain lake.
It was a symphony of love as musician Augusta paid homage to the opera in many ways from her stunning O’Scarlett wedding dress which featured a dreamy lace bodice and an iridescent organza skirt and train and continued with her creative table names idea dedicated to concert halls and opera houses and the music throughout the day, of course! Alpine flowers in romantic hues of violet, pink and cream played a starring role in the reception with silk ribbons adding to the whimsical effect. After the meal, their guests were treated to a towering French cheese cake, which didn’t hang around long, and a mouthwatering raspberry, rhubarb, lemon and elderflower naked wedding cake which was dappled with berries and dressed with a swoop of sweet blue flowers.
