A Magical Two-Part Chateau Wedding: Chantelle & Jaskaran

Today’s real wedding is the stuff of fairytales. Chantelle and Jaskaran tied the knot in a dreamy two-day celebration in France that fused both their cultures beautifully. Chateau Robernier in Montfort-sur-Argens, which dates back to the 16th-century, provided the breathtaking setting for both their traditional English and Indian wedding where they celebrated with 100 guests.

From elegant white florals and the romantic sounds of the violin and harp wafting through the air during their floral-filled outdoor ceremony on their wedding day to the vibrant dress code of their Indian reception and a thrilling bhangra dance lesson led by Dhol drummers on day two, their summer wedding was an enchanting journey of style and love and it was captured to perfection by Dina Deykun Photography.

Chantelle and Jaskaran are both from Blackpool and that’s where their happily ever after began. Chantelle tells us all about how they met. “It was at a famous Motown bar named Soul Suite in Blackpool, where I got myself my first bar job at 18. Jaz was my manager at the time and we were good friends for a good three years before we got together.”

Jaskaran proposed in a quirky bar and grill in Manchester. Reminiscing about the magical moment he popped the question, Chantelle explains, “A champagne bucket came over with champagne and a ring box was propped up on top of the ice. He then got down on one knee. It was about time after nine long years!”

Cheers! The wedding morning was a highly stylish affair as Chantelle donned a whimsically gorgeous bridal robe adorned with butterfly motifs while her bridesmaids wore customised pyjamas.

Chantelle searched for the wedding venue of her dreams for about a year, and the wait was certainly worth it. “I wanted the wow factor with modern décor inside. Everywhere I looked it was either the wow
factor from the outside and terribly old fashioned inside or the other way round. Chateau Robernier had it all. The décor was on point. As soon as I visited it, I was overwhelmed with excitement. You literally gasp when you see it!”

Chantelle wore not one but three sensational bridal looks across her wedding weekend. To walk down the aisle she opted for an immensely elegant A-line gown by Justin Alexander and her accessories included the pearl-dappled Sacaria heels by Jimmy Choo, crystal floral earrings, a crystal necklace, pearl hair pins and a dreamy veil which was customised with their initials.

Can we hear it for Jaskaran and his groomsmen! They oozed summer elegance in linen suits with brown brogues and cream bow ties.

Exuding classical French charm, the venue is surrounded by acres of vineyards and centuries-old olive groves, so it was a spellbinding location for their once-in-a-lifetime party!

They enlisted the help of wedding planner and stylist By Joanne Weddings to bring their dream day to life. Fresh white florals, lush foliage and wooden accents were the focus of the styling and the couple exchanged vows in front of a divine floral ceremony arch during their outdoor ceremony.

We bet there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Chantelle walked down the aisle as a harpist and violinist performed Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Chantelle reflects, “My good friend Carol wrote a poem for us both which one of my bridesmaids Dominque read out before the ceremony began. Me and Jaz also wrote our own vows which was extra special.”

Summing up the vibe of their day, Chantelle says, “It was the wedding of our dreams with fairytale magical chateau castle vibes.” Their guests were their number-one priority. “I wanted to make sure our guests and family had the best time and that I made the most memorable few days not only for myself and Jaz but for everyone who attended.”

The celebrating kicked off with a glamorous outdoor drinks reception where guests tucked into a selection of delectable nibbles including mini pizzas.

Pink bridesmaids dresses are fun, fabulous and super chic and Chantelle’s ladies sparkled in blush sequin gowns with mix and match necklines.

Now there’s a fabulous table seating chart idea worth toasting to.

Their outdoor reception was so timeless. The main table was lined with a floral and foliage runner while tea light candles in glass baubles were suspended from a foliage wreath above it. To dance the night away, Chantelle changed into a twirl-tastic floral applique short wedding dress by Milla Nova.

When it comes to advice for the big day, Chantelle urges couples to try and relax as much as they can. “Don’t stress too much as everything comes together in the end! Make sure you take every moment in on the day, it goes so fast and you want to remember every moment, after all you have spent so much time planning! Also make sure that you get an excellent wedding planner, Jo made the whole event seamless and fun and I can’t recommend her enough, she made it all look effortless.”

Their Indian reception the next day was a vibrant and energetic affair loaded with bright hues and gold tones. Chantelle was a glittering vision in her sequined lehenga was boasted oversized pastel floral motifs.

We adore this first look from the newlyweds! The dress code for their guests was authentic Indian costumes in bright colours and everyone looked amazing.

Dhol players, Indian drummers, helped introduce Chantelle and Jaskaran in epic style. “We loved our Dhol players, they created the most perfect entrance as the chateau doors opened and our guests walked up to the venue.”

The celebration began with a traditional greeting and the atmosphere was utterly electric.

They hosted an authentic Indian banquet in the ballroom where tables were decorated with flowers in spirited hues and colourful glassware.

The festivities took a thrilling turn as the Dhol drummers played alongside the DJ to teach their guests the Indian dance, the bhangra. “The guests loved it and everyone was fully involved!” The couple honeymooned in serious style in Mexico. They checked into Secrets Vallarta Bay for two weeks. “It was beautiful, relaxing with a great night life.”

A huge thanks to Chantelle, Jaskaran and Dina Deykun Photography for sharing this incredible chateau wedding with One Fab Day! You’ll find even more wonderful images in the gallery below.
